What is number transfer or number porting?

Number transfer or number porting is transferring your number from one service provider to another. You can transfer or port your fax number from your current service provider to one of our online fax providers.  

When you change service providers—for example when you switch from a physical fax line to online fax—porting or transferring your number means keeping the same number you had with your previous provider.

With number transfer, you don’t need to change your existing number when you switch to online fax.
